I've been involved with multiple independent automotive design courses since graduating with my industrial design undergrad, but it wasn't until my time with Eric and Car Design Academy that my skills and confidence grew exponentially. Eric is an inspiring force of motivation, curiosity and creativity, and it rubs off on the rest of the group. The tools and techniques that I've learned in the 10-week intensives have been wildly helpful for my day job at a consultancy. CD.A has been a great opportunity to receive the coaching, encouragement and growth that comes from automotive design schools, without having to uproot my life and go back to college. For those who want to push themselves to learn new technologies and techniques as well as practice the skill of design and creativity, this is a great experience. 

CARDESIGN.ACADEMY provides very focused and well-organized learning materials.  It is a combination of fundamental skills and cutting-edge VR software with super-innovative communication methods. 

Unlike other online automotive design courses, Car Design Academy stands out for personalized and live approach to each member. There are plenty of resources online on how to sketch & 3D model. But CARDESIGN.ACADEMY is special for its direct interaction with tutors and exchange with other members during weekly reviews. 

You can see your project from another perspective, get a different point of view. This feedback is really important, especially if you are stuck at some point in your project. A small group under 10 people is enabled to have live conversations and direct feedback.  

I find intensives are quite close to the real-world design development process by its structure, deadlines, reviews with colleagues, and your constant growth in such a collaborative environment. It's very much like taking a course at leading automotive design schools.

All in all, It is a super exciting experience, not only from a design perspective but also for the creative environment and private community. 

Car Design Academy has truly proven to be an extremely beneficial program not just for students and designers alike, but also anyone wanting to dive into the incredible world of Transportation Design. During my time in the course Eric opened my mind to new perspectives, and design solutions. His teaching style is very effective, and working with Bluescape allows for real-time instruction, as well as real-time tutorials and constructive feedback. What an amazing and memorable experience!

  I had the pleasure of learning from Eric Stoddard this past summer in the 10-week Intensive Car Design course. It was truly an enriching experience, as I was able to pick up on a new set of skills and introduce myself to a completely reimagined design process. Eric masterfully crafted his weekly demonstrations in 2.5-hour long live sessions where he showed techniques in Gravity Sketch, Fusion 350, Keyshot, Photoshop, and Sketchbook Pro. Upon completion of this course, I’ve become more confident in my quest for developing a unique design process and visual communication techniques.
